The Work

While photographing the Angel of Independence, the image of thousands of monarch butterflies which I had had the fortune of portraying a couple of weeks before, flying away from the huge wings of the monument, came to my mind. It was at this time that, in my head, the image was finalized. The only thing that was missing was the execution and the title. The next day I started to work on it and called it "Monarch", combining the greatness of both models.
